"A Quiet Salute" 14x18 Acrylic Canvas Framed Painting By: Gilles Boudreault. Canvas measures 12x26 inches, the framed piece measures 14x18 inches. A Quiet Salute portrays a uniformed guard standing watch among memorial wreaths in a city plaza. Other uniformed figures gather in the background, adding a sense of ceremony, while cool stone tones and touches of red and gold keep the scene calm and reflective. A thoughtful piece for a room that could use a little quiet. Gilles was born in Mascouche, a small town located north of Montreal, QC. At a very early age he demonstrated an ability to draw with ease. After completing high school, he enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces where he served for over 21yrs. After his service, he focused on advancing his skills as a Plein-Air artist working mostly with oil & acrylic. Over time, his passion for portraiture grew stronger and the desire to capture human emotions became the primary focus of his art. Gilles has completed several portrait commissions to date with the ultimate goal of capturing an emotional side of the subject. Painting people in a variety of situations is an extremely challenging process that helps advance the skills as an artist. Please visit Gilles at: https://boudreaultgilles.com/
