In 2007, I joined the Canadian Special Operations Regiment and then in 2013, I joined JTF-2. I was lucky to be able to deploy operationally, including multiple Afghanistan tours, Bosnia, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan and a few other deployments. While still serving as an operational Assaulter, I founded Aurelius Fine Oils & Balsamic Vinegars in 2016. It all began with setting up my small table at bakeries and local markets on weekends and sampling olive oil. After getting out there and networking, I was lucky enough to start selling to a few top restaurants here in Ottawa (Riviera, e18hteen, Whalesbone). Then in 2018, I decided to release from the military and open my retail brick-and-mortar tasting boutique in Wellington West, Ottawa. Our authentic, small-batch and artisanal products have garnered a strong reputation amongst our fans. We also offer an amazing quantity of flavoured olive oils and balsamic vinegars which will surely keep you coming back for more.
